Privacy Policy

How Detox Hospitality collects, uses and protects your personal details. Last updated 30 October 2026.

1. Introduction & Scope

Detox Hospitality ("we", "our" or "us") is a travel company based in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. We plan and book trips in Kashmir, and we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and how we protect it when you visit our website, contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, or book a trip with us. By using our website or our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the information you give us when you contact us or book a trip, and some details automatically when you use our website:

  • Enquiry details: your name and phone number, and, if you give them, your email address, the number of travellers, the package you asked about and your message.
  • Booking details: travel dates and the names and ages of the people travelling. When a hotel, permit or yatra registration needs them, we also collect ID details and, for some treks and yatras, health certificates.
  • Payment information: payments are handled by banks and payment providers. We don't store card details or PINs.
  • Website and device data: the pages and packages you look at, the website or ad you came from, approximate location, and device and browser type. This is collected through cookies, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and the Meta Pixel (see our Cookie Policy).
  • Where you came from: your browser keeps a note of how you first arrived (the ad or link that brought you, the first page you saw and the website that sent you) for up to 90 days. If you send an enquiry, we store this with it, so our team knows which adverts work.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to plan and run your trip:

  • Replying to your enquiry and sending you a written quote.
  • Booking your hotels, transport, guides, permits and helicopter seats, and keeping you updated by phone, WhatsApp or email.
  • Improving our website, and measuring and improving our adverts on Google, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations, and preventing fraud.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share what's needed to deliver your trip and run our business:

  • Travel suppliers: hotels, houseboats, drivers, guides, trek teams and helicopter operators who provide your trip.
  • Authorities: permit offices, shrine boards and the police, when a permit, yatra registration or verification requires it.
  • Service providers: companies that help us run our business, such as email delivery, our booking system and payment providers.
  • Google and Meta: we use Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads) and Meta (the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API, for Facebook and Instagram) to measure our website and our adverts. They receive the pages and packages you look at, taps on our WhatsApp and phone links, and the enquiries you send.
  • Hashed contact details: when you send an enquiry, we also send Meta your name, email address and phone number in hashed form. Hashed means scrambled, so Meta can only match them to accounts it already has. Your IP address and browser details go with them. Meta uses this to measure and improve our adverts.
  • Legal compliance: we may share details if required by law, regulatory authorities, or in defence of legal claims.

You can control how Facebook and Instagram personalise the ads you see in the ad settings of those apps, and you can block cookies in your browser (see our Cookie Policy).

5. Data Protection & Security

The security of your personal data is a priority. We take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access, loss or misuse:

  • Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
  • Only the staff who handle your enquiry or booking can see your details.
  • We keep your details only as long as we need them for your trip and for legal and accounting records.

Please note that while we use industry-standard precautions, no system is 100% secure.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You can contact us at any time to:

  • See the personal details we hold about you, and correct anything that's wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your details, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
  • Stop receiving promotional messages by phone, WhatsApp or email.

7. Contact Customer Care
