Doodhpathri is a wide meadow in Budgam district, 2,730 m up and 42 km from Srinagar. The Shaliganga stream runs over white stones through it, between pine forests. Most visitors come on a day trip between May and October; in winter it's a snow day trip when the road is clear.

  • Doodhpathri reopened to visitors in February 2026, and people were out in its snow the next day.
  • In winter, whether you can drive up depends on snow clearance, so plan it as a flexible day trip from Srinagar.
  • It isn't part of our ready-made winter trips, but we can add it as a day out from Srinagar.
