Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on the Detox Hospitality website. Last updated 30 October 2026.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files containing alphanumeric characters that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your browser, save specific session data, and remember preferences over time.

Cookies can be "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them manually) or "session cookies" (which are automatically erased when you close your web browser).

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep the website working: for example, keeping our enquiry forms secure.
  • Understand how the website is used: which pages and packages people look at and where visitors come from, so we can improve it.
  • Measure and improve our advertising: Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tell us when a visit from one of our ads leads to an enquiry. Page views, package views, taps on our WhatsApp and phone links, and enquiries are sent to Meta through the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API.
  • Remember how you arrived: your browser keeps a note of the ad or link that brought you to our website for up to 90 days, and we store it with any enquiry you send, so we know which adverts work. This note is kept in your browser's storage, which works much like a cookie.

3. Categories of Cookies

We group our cookies into the following categories:

Essential / Strictly Necessary Cookies

Needed for the website to work, for example to keep forms secure. The website can't work properly without them.

Analytical / Performance Cookies

Count visits and show which pages and packages people look at, so we can improve the website. Set by Google Analytics.

Advertising Cookies

Set by Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (for Facebook and Instagram) to measure whether our adverts lead to enquiries, and to improve them.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some services we use may set their own cookies on your device:

  • Analytics and advertising: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram).
  • Payment providers: if you pay through a secure payment link, the provider may use cookies to prevent fraud.
  • Maps: the map on our Contact page comes from Google Maps, which may set its own cookies.

Our fonts are stored on our own website, so loading them doesn't set any cookies.

5. Managing Preferences

You have the right to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can manage your preferences through your web browser configuration:

  • Most browsers accept cookies by default, but allow you to delete current cookies, block future ones, or set warnings when a cookie is stored.
  • Consult your browser's "Help" section (for Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) to learn the exact step for blocking or deleting cookies.
  • To stop Google Analytics counting your visits on any website, install Google's opt-out add-on for your browser (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
  • You can also control how Facebook and Instagram personalise the ads you see, in the ad settings of those apps.

If you block essential cookies, parts of the website, such as the enquiry form, may not work properly.
