Srinagar to Bandipora to Gurez
Depart early from Srinagar. Cross the high Razdan Pass (11,672 ft) flanked by dense pine forests and descend into the Gurez Valley. Check into your traditional wooden guesthouse in Dawar. Evening walk along the Kishanganga River.
Dawar Village & Habba Khatoon Peak Trek
Explore Dawar, the administrative heart of Gurez. Visit the weekly bazaar and local wooden mosque. In the afternoon, trek to the viewpoint directly facing Habba Khatoon — a legendary peak named after Kashmir's beloved poet-queen.
Tulail Sub-Valley & Kishanganga River Walk
Drive deeper into the remote Tulail sub-valley. Walk alongside river meadows past ancient wooden bridges and shepherd huts. Interact with Dard-Shin families who've lived here for millennia. Picnic lunch in the alpine clearing.
Village Homestay & Stargazing Night
